We've been so busy since baby Sebastian was born, I was going to give up making waterchestnut cake this year. But when I saw my hubby's hush puppy eyes I somehow managed to squeeze some time out to make one. I guess it does add to the festive mood.
And Matty has been doing his part too. He's been busy writing these paper scrolls for Chinese new year, with the help of 姑姑(his aunt). The most popular one is 身體健康 (meaning good health), which he's going to give to his grandparents. He also wrote one especially for Dada...wishing that he'll get promoted at work in the year of the Dragon. Matty's favourite scroll for himself is 快高長大 (meaning he'll grow very tall very quickly).
Somehow, I think Matty's Chinese is already better than mine.... and he's not even four yet. Sigh...
