No Ordinary Sunday

Matty woke up at 7:52 this morning, a little early for a Sunday. He caught me taking a peep at what he was doing. I quickly closed my eyes again, but it was too late. Matty knew I was also awake.

MATTY:                           "Mama!"

ME:                                    "Yes?"

MATTY:                            "Did you miss me?"

ME:                                     "Yes"

MATTY:                            "I also missed you too"

While he was still rolling around in bed. He suddenly hugged me and said "我大個我會照顧你!" (I will take care of you when I grow up).

Okay, Okay, I know it's probably not going to happen. But it's still the sweetest thing that anyone has said to me in the morning. All memory of Matty's screaming,  yelling and crying were temporarily erased from my mind. What wonderful feeling!

My hubby, quickly asked Matty who will take care of him. Matty said ..."細佬!"

Gummy Babbles

I always thought babies learn to call their Dada or Mama first, but in Gummy Bear's case... it's Matty first!

He's been calling Matty "Ah-Goo" for the past few months. "Ah-Goo", as in  (big brother) in Chinese. I thought it was  just a coincidence when I heard it two months ago, but Gummy Bear still calls Matty that, and smiles when he sees him some times.

Gummy Bear has also started babbling "Bow-wow-wow"after Matty learned this nursery rhyme at school that he always repeats at home. I never thought Matty would have such an impact on his little brother so soon.

And according to my helper, Gummy Bear has started calling her "Pat Pat", short for Suparmi.
She said she likes him calling her, bust just wasn't too keen on the words "Pat Pat", as it means
a female private part in Indonesian.

Oh well, can't expect too much. Gummy Bear is just a baby afterall.
